With every new update Whatsapp is providing new features to make life even simpler and easier. There are so many tricks of Whatsapp that you might be using or aware of it like Privacy setting, hiding last seen and more.

1. Stop Whatsapp Images from appearing in Gallery
On daily basis, we share hundred of images on Whatsapp either as a private message or a message in the group. Going through in Gallery with lots of Whatsapp images is annoying and irritating. You can hide your Whatsapp images to appear in the Gallery or Camera Roll from your Android and iOS smartphone.
If you have Android device, make sure you have file explorer. Navigate to sdcard/Whatsapp/Media and create a folder .nomedia file in Whatsapp images or videos directory.
If you have iOS device, launch Setting > Privacy > Photos. In Photos you will accounts that you have in your phone like Facebook, Whatsapp, Hike and more. Turn off Whatsapp.
2. Get Messaging Statistics
Are you using Whatsapp all the time or just want to know on which day you were most active on Whatsapp? Well, you can find out your entire Whatsapp habits through an amazing app called WhatStat. WhatStat provides statistical information for you messages that you have shared with your friends and group chats.
3. Switch your Whatsapp chat history between devices
If you want to switch your Whatsapp chat and media history between devices then it is quite possible. All you need to do is move to Setting > Chats > Chat Backup. Then remove SD card from that device and place it to another device and install Whatsapp on that device. Your Whatsapp will detect the backup and restore it on your device.
4. Send private messages in bulk
Have you seen the option New Broadcast, the feature that lets you send same messages to more than one person simultaneously? To use this feature, tap on any contact name, it will give you two options New Broadcast and New Group. Choose New Broadcast and this will show you the new window where you can choose about 256 contacts as broadcast list recipients.
5. Recover deleted messages
Even if you have deleted chat history, images or videos on Whatsapp, still there is a chance to get them back. By default, Whatsapp backs up your entire messages everyday at 4am. If you want to get back your deleted messages you just need to do is restore backup.
To recover deleted messages, first uninstall Whatsapp and then reinstall it. When you will install you will get the option to restore backup of your chats. Tap restore.
6. Lock your Whatsapp
If any of your friends or family members is keeping an eye on your Whatsapp then you can secure your Whatsapp from those prying eyes by locking your Whatsapp.
7. See when your messages were read
Want to find when someone read your messages? Yes, there is blue tick which ensures that your message has been seen by another party but when? Just tap on particular message and it will give you an info (i) option. Tap on that option and it will give the exact timing when that person read your message.
8. Mute Group Chat
You must be having at least three to four groups on Whatsapp. Most of time people tend to send images and videos which irritate other group members.
If you want to ignore the messages without leaving the group then you can mute the group. Tap on any of the group on which you want to perform this action and you will find the option to Mute.
9. Get Whatsapp notifications on Desktop
You can get Whatsapp notification right on Desktop. Notifications of Whatsapp will appear at the right side of window. Get Whatsapp Chrome extension WAToolkit and go to Options–> Notifications –> Desktop Alerts.
10. Get Customized Notifications
It is true neither every person is equally important nor every group. That’s why some of the time people tend to ignore some groups and person as well. Many of the times it happens that we don’t want to miss any message from special ones, who could be your crush, boyfriend/girlfriend or any person that is important to you.
On anyone’s chat you can choose Customize Notification to have new voice tone or alert of every incoming message that will differentiate his/him chat from others. Even if you are annoyed by any person, can do the same and turn off all the notification that means you will not get notified of his/her incoming message.
